Saturation can vary a lot with conditions. For instance my maple leaves were pretty much straight form the camera, with the wet surfaces responsible for high saturation together with extraordinary naturally occurring bright colors. Some images from others earlier in this thread have backlight enhancing saturation.

Øivind, in the images you mention, the leaves are the only compositional elements that have color.  Other part (soil) is almost colorless.  That also enhances the stunning natural prime colors.

Matthew, do you mean all of the photos apart from Akira's or some of them?
I am looking at them again and I am wondering whether I have over-saturated mine?
My comment was meant to be very general, and not directed negatively at anyone here.   I picked out Akira because his last set especially seemed very agreeable.

Autumn colours tend to be saturated. Also some lenses give extra warm colours, like the 50/1.8G.

Autumn colors I have been looking at every day on the gallery of my apartment building.
Today I decided to record it one way or the other :)

Exceptional views, Jakov.   Colourfull and moody on the moore, Hans.

We had a clear blue sky in the weekend.

The colors are gone and the winter will come soon.
