[Theme] Autumn colour 2016
« on: September 18, 2016, 22:05:45 »
As autumn is approaching  on the Northern Hemisphere it might be a good idea to start with the autumn photo's. As Frank Fremerey wrote last year :

Autumn is now in full bloom. I took a set of wonderful images in the forest yesterday, AND: I want to see yours.

If you live heads down (**ggg**) you can fill these pages with your pictures when we are hit by spring next year and we Northerners will continue next year and so on.

(falling) Leaves and fruit in abundance, colors, Fungi, try to visualize the smell of wet earth in a forest, go out shoot in the rain, the fog, ....

An example of today

A great idea and a great image to kick things off :)

I posit yesterday's test shot with the 300/2.8 ED-IF AIS.

Thanks John for starting this thread. Great shot. I like Jakov's art and Bjørn's IR autumn too.

In Minneapolis there are few sporadic autumn colors. To be continued...  ;)

As seen on September 20, 2016 in Southbury, Connecticut. It still feels like summer but a few leaves are turning.

1. Japanese Maple
2. Yellow Birch
3. Virginia Creeper

All the forecasts are for a drab fall because of the drought, but fall will fall anyway.

I love that Japanese Maple, Tom. Great bokeh too.

Impressive sharpness and structure, Matthew.

Tom, nice backlit Japanese maple leaf which may remind you of the time you spent in Japan...

A young Lime tree or Linden (Tilia Vulgaris) shows the first autumn colours.
