Jakov, I can see the deserved reputation of Alain Delon (arrogant man!) has crossed the French borders...
So maybe he is right when he says he is revered as a half god on the entire planet.

The shot is very intriguing, Gary, can you say more about it?

I am sure this is quite funny/amusing ... but I am ignorant, (Je suis Americain), of the reference to Delon. I recognize Delon as an old actor and I remember him in Lost Command . And, while I love movies, I am not a follower of movie star lives. Soooo .. faire chou blanc.

Nothing to this shot Olivier. Just an old g/f and a new dress. No story other than that. This was in her university dorm room, window lighting.

The photo looks to me like it was taken at a movie scene with Alain Delon.
It was meant as a compliment. Her sophisticated and stylish look just made me think about a thriller with Delon...
I too am not aware of Delon's personal life or his character, neither do I care. He is a movie icon and I respect him for that.

Just like I respect Woody Allen, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, etc ...all of them Americain with an iffy personal life :)

It's an intriguing portrait.

I can imagine Jakov's suggestion of Delon, especially the movie Le Samourai from director Jean-Pierre Melville, with the excellent photography of Henri Decaë. I think it's a very European (French) movie.

Gary. I just recently learned how to do a serious spit. It is great to get rid of Seawater if a wave hit you bathing in the wrong moment.

LOL ... this was the dugout of the Angels, a pro baseball team. Pro baseball players, back then, had this baseball culture thing for 'chew' and they looked played ball looking like chipmunks with stored nuts in their cheeks. The league finally 'outlawed' the use of tobacco on the field for health reasons and the fact that it is purely disgusting.

Frank I am proud for you that finally accomplished your first real spit. (Growing up in Southern California, one learns at an early age, the timing of waves.  8) )
