Gary, I come late to this thread. I have made my way through to page 3 only. I´m enjoying it big time!!! Excellent job. No rush, I will take my time to see it all.

On a side note, I just realize that Nikongear has, as today, 614 members "only". I can´t keep up. It feels like we are an army with a mission :) :) :)

Numbers are not important. Quality and commitment are. So far, the two latter have marched side by side and hopefully this progress will continue to make NG the place to hang out. The NG Team are all happy to be a part of this mission.

Yes. These are all scanned about a decade ago ... by today's standards, crummy scanner, crummy software and no post processing. I probably should go back and perform some PhotoShop magic ... but I'm too lazy. I have been removing my HCB, super-egotistical, no-crop black borders from my old stuff. But that is done in the little free processing program included with my Smugmug account.

Gary

PS- Why are you asking? What triggered that question?
G
Because I like it as is. These old photos are authentic.  Please don't re-process these images -

One more plea. I love the style. "Patrice"...wow

And the history and the stories and the action with a manual 28mm! war, space... what a trip so far. I´m at page 8

There is a Chinese proverb that if you have a good life, you live it twice. Once when it happens and again, when you're old and you remember.  The photos help me remember the good life.

Mongo has recently discovered this thread and has been going through it with amazement; not only as to the images themselves but for what it shows of your own life and experiences. It is continuing to be an absolute pleasure ! Thank you.
