Anyway, adding to above, I might mention too that when I got mine, the shift was very loose. The solution to this is in the chrome knob. If you use the correct spanner to remove the two-hole nut in the end, you will find that the knob can be adjusted for drag. (note, I tried without a spanner first, and found the nut very tight, and my tool slipped, scratching the face of the knob!) I imagine many, including Richard Haw, will find the necessary tools on their tables, but for those who do not, I found that a 4 mm. socket, filed or milled, was just the right size. I used a nice cheap Asian socket, soft enough to file, hard enough to work.
