A bit of a chaotic shopping centre, Frank. Is Bad Godesberg a vivid town? Chicken does look nice, however
I feel all is dead since the diplomats moved to Berlin. Now we have a very crude mixture:
The UN people ... highly sophisticated and rich ... form their own closed shop
The private ex-staff of the rich diplomats stayed in Bonn and proliferated although they do not have any economic perspective, but grill some chicken and falafel and stuff...
The richies that have lived in Bad Godesberg before the government came hire security
The Saudi-Arabians are retreating but left some people calles "Salafists" who are very close to radical Islam ... a while ago there was a stabbing with a young radical killing a police woman
In the Arab owned streets no Germans want to live and the Arabs try to push the Germans out who are still left...
Then there are the rich medicine tourists from all over the world who come here to let their bodies mend and the people renting out to them, pushing poorer people around and out
To make a long story short: Bad Godesberg was a renowned Spa for Centuries, then the Diplomats came when Bonn was capital, the Diplomats went when Bonn returned to normal, the UN came, lots of IT and crazy startups in the wake of the Big Players "DHL / Deutsche Post" ... "Deutsche Telekom" .... "Postbank" and some other big and medium big players.
Bonn is quite consistent still: boring bourgoise, but the southern Part, Bad Godesberg is torn, confused, searching for a new identity.
The shopping centers, strange corners, all fallen out of time...
