That 20 looks so nice how would it compete with the voigt 20mm/3.5 pancake?
Anyone who has both, i have the voigt and the newer 20/1.8g.

Not sure about the Voigt, but I had the Nikkor  20/3.5 AI, 20/4  AI and the 20/2.8 AIS and for me the UD is the clear winner with regard to colour, bokeh, distant, has less distortion and is therefore useful for a lot of applications and subjects.  But these are of course personal preferences.  perhaps Buddy has experiences with the other lenses?

Waterpistol fights on the main square 'Heuvel'

Thanks John - creepy and somewhat fascinating creature when you get close :)

Great captures with that waterpistol duel !

September 15. Today I went to a location I've been planning to visit for a while. It's a spot that was photographed by a Danish landscape photographer, Janne Klerk, and was included in one of two books with photos of the Danish coast line (7500 km). My understanding is that it was a project that took her three years to complete. The location is part of the west coast of Sjælland (Zealand).

I took 20 photos today, but both films still need to be developed, so nothing show for today

John, I see you are enjoying that UD Nikkor. That's one of the lenses I used today

Fons, I'm glad to see the 45mm did not travel far. Still in the family so to speak. And you show some amazing shots right away.

Buddy

On 15 September I wrote:

>> no pic from me, too much other stuff to attend to... <<

Nothing could be further away from the truth. I was so moved by the things that happened, I blanked. Here is the story with pictures:

28 years ago my friend Kristian died, following serious injury after a car crash. I had some business not far away from that graveyard, found his grave, but --- nothing.

I thought: After 30 years your memory might have played tricks on me and the graveyard grew and changed over time, so I went to see the administration.

They looked up the name in the computer and found the grave was discontinued in 2014. The place I found was spot on. I even remebered the number "211". And I remembered the birch trees --- there were next to no birch trees in the whole graveyard.

Here are the following pics:

Kristian when he was still alive & a picture of the tomb stone when it was still there (all scans from prints of slides)

The place where the grave was on 15 September 2016

Thanks Lars.  That's a nice coastal shot.

Thanks Frank.

Yes Buddy, I can imagine you used the lens today.  I am positively surprised by it's versatility.  And, with caution and manoeuvring, it doesn't flare  ;)
