Always amazed with your work Rick!  I will work on my copy of the K lens, but not just yet.

Thanks for this extended review, Richard.

You wrote something about the 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor-S Auto on your blog, and couldn't find it here. The focus-ring of my lens is not working any more, and I understood the method to get it fixed is to remove a front ring?

Hello, John. There's the link. :o :o :o I wrote that for somebody who shoots concerts with that lens ::)

As common with most Nikkors of the same vintage/era, this lens is best worked from the front.

Thank you Richard. I have already read it. As the front ring won't move at all, I seem to be stuck.

Hello, John. Which front ring are you talking about? :o :o :o The one with the numbers or the chrome front barrel?
You may want to soften up what was used to glue it ::)

The ring connected to the focusring, in order to get to the screws to try to get it focus again.

This thing? :o :o :o

You may need to put plenty of alcohol to loosen this part.  ::)
I also use an old rubber flip flop and bored a hole in the center and use it to grip that ring.
that ring is flimsy by the way and if you warped it, you will not get this lens to focus smoothly

Yes I know that and I thank you. Just that I'm now obsessed with the 43-86 and the 36-72...

Will work on this later.
