The Hermagis 80 photos are amazing!!! I want one of those.

One of my fav lenses Andrea, very unique Petzval bokeh it has. With a bit patience, it
can be sourced, although prices for original ones have gone up quite a bit. I'll let you
know when I see one...

You mean this?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Som-Hermagis-Cinema-lens-F-80-mm-602942-/401299042683?hash=item5d6f49717b:g:YeIAAOSwTM5Y5HTk

No, this is a much later one, I mean the original brass Hermagis projection lenses not SOM. It might still be Petzval scheme.

SOM Berthiot ("Société d'Optique et de Mécanique"), founded 1857, bought teh muck older company HERMAGIS, founded 1845, in 1934 and integrated them into their business, so Hermagis disappeared and was just used as a brand name by them later.

I see.  Thanks for the clarification!  I've only known Som Bertiot only for the c- or d- mount cine lenses.

Very Impressive Klaus.  That first shot is really a beauty of a lucky strike ;)

Thanks! Well, that was "designed", as I noticed that this lens has this effect due to the very strong
front lens curvature and working w/o sun shade against the sun helps to create such effects ;-)

It is a fantastic effect.  What camera or sensor size?

Klaus, the first image rocks!  The artist should be delighted with this surreal effect.  :D
