This is nice! What is the maximum aperture of that Wollensak?
It's 3.5.  Originally came, by the way, from a Revere projector with no magazines, and a different lens diameter from the Sawyer projectors I actually have the trays for, so no compunction about taking a hacksaw to the barrel.

Rummaging in the commodious barns I find another, this a Bell and Howell 5 inch 2.8, from an odd combination 8mm and filmstrip projector I stored away but, since I haven't used it in over 30 years I figure it's safe to steal the lens.  This one goes in another scrap mount from a dead zoom,  and with a tiny bit of trimming will go to infinity, but since the sun rarely shines here in January I can't test for interesting outdoor highlights.  Here, however, is how it goes as a macro.  Focused on a rail, with a little contrast and sharpening in post, this one isn't likely to displace the micro Nikkors any time soon, but it might work for portraits.

I got recently the tiniest projection lens I have never held :

Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 70mm f/3.5

Diameter :30mm;
lenght : 33mm;
Weight : 30 gr.  ???

In order to try it on my Z6, I had to machine a little adapter from acetal (POM) which is a very hard plastic stuff.

Beautiful. I especially like the use of the lens in the first image of the bunch.

 Thanks for sharing it!

I agree !

Interesting to see the difference of bokeh between image 1 and image 2.  :)

Matter of distance from the subject ? (could it be an iris in this projection lens ?)

Francis.

NO, there is no iris in this projection lens, hardly any such projection lenses exist with iris!

Lovely lens and examples. First one is most impressive.
