Every time I go to the Game Reserve - I see something different - and this is why I keep going back.

I recently read an article somewhere about how photos of lions yawning are very popular, because most people think it is a snarl rather than a yawn. Looks like you have just proven it once again!

          Excellent images and all that detail in the tongue, I dare not ask how close is close.
          I wish I could say I just popped out to my local Game Reserve. We as a family have a tiny feeling of the free spirit of it in my life.
          We have a pack of Ridgebacks with the foundation dogs imported to the UK from South Africa by ourselves.

Close - ye VERY close - often the 200-500 is too close (even on my full frame)
