Edit: Thank you Dave for clearing things up, I thought we were in Glen Coe all the time, but it was Glen Etive.

I really like these - the bluebell, especially, is a very clever shot.

Nice capture of young brackens, Jakov. The long lens helped create a very flattering background for these fronds.

Jakov I did not know you could also do "normal" shots!  ;)
Not only that, they are also very pleasing. (although I have to say the first one of the pink flowers done with the Heligon was truly something and remains for me one of the most unique images from this trip)
I don't know which one of the two fishys I prefer, they are both excellent.
Since Dave has already mentioned the bluebells, I will spend a word in favour of the beautiful light making patterns on the underwater rocks.

Thank you, Dave and Mayumi, for making this such a great week.

Here is a shot of their garden.

Simone, you are most kind! Thank you for your kind words! Although I consider all of my shots to be "normal" I know exactly what you mean :)
It's just that having Bjørn around all the time in the back of my mind makes me rock the boat or push the envelope a bit further than "normal" :)
I am sorry I didn't get to experience driving around with you. I for one would not have minded a bit of speed around the slopes of Scotland.

Now back to normality.
Here are some images of Castle Urquhart on Loch Ness  ::)

Dave took us to a lovely place on Friday morning. In the woods next to a lake but I am so bad with names and places that I have no idea where exactly, I apologise for that.
Martin and Aleksandra taking photos.

Jakov - I like the trees picture very much. You shot it in Glen Ogle Forest and the lake nearby was "Lochan na Bealach" (it doesn't really have an English name, but a translation would be "The small lake at the pass").

It might be helpful to have a list of the places we went to, around Killin.

The ruined medieval castle in the woods near Loch Tay is Finlarig Castle.
The island in the river, reached by a gate with a padlock (burial place of Macnab clan chiefs) is "Innis Bhuidhe", trans. - Yellow Island
A group went with me to woods on the far side of Loch Tay (on the Wednesday morning). That area is called Cuildochart Forest.
Several of us went to Loch Tulla, Rannoch Moor, and Glen Etive on Thursday. In Glen Etive we first parked in trees near a bridge over the River Coupal, and later we photographed the canoists at the waterfall. That river was the River Etive.
On Friday afternoon we went back to Glen Etive but first we briefly visited the start of Glen Coe. We parked in a rough area beside the road and near a large rock mountain - stopping just for 10 minutes or so - then went back a little and drove to the turn into Glen Etive, then a long way down that road. The "bicycle-shed", the yellow flowering bushes, the quiet river flowing towards the end of a fjord, and the small distant cottage beneath a large dark mountain, these were all in Glen Etive.

I hope this is helpful.
D.

Thomas posted an image of Bjørn and I taking a selfie on the road to Loch Ness.
I guess it's contagious taking selfies, Bjørn  ;D

Where did I get the fame of speeding?!
My driving is totally relaxed, it's just that when I drive the distance from the arbitrary points A and B become shorter.  ;D
Next time we can try to do a bit more of driving and shooting together.

Castle Urquart is a big distance for a return trip from Killin. Now I am even more grateful for the lift you gave to Bez, Simone and me.

Simone, we share a common concept of travel from A to B :)
Having sexy Bez sitting next to me in a car after the 12 + hour hike you guys had was a true pleasure  ;)
