Francis. You went a long way into illegal and dangerous territory to capture these puffins. To be cook or photographer or any creative with an audience means to be bold and daring obviously. I enjoyed the time with you since I met you online many years ago. Meeting you meant adding an incredible lot to that.

Andrea. In my book you are Ultravioletta, living in a dreamworld, very small footprint, very broad spectrum, a lot like all of my Mathematician friends, so you are not alone but still lovely.

I could say that for everybody here: continue to surprise me.

love it.

Jakov... where to begin, where to ever end?

Frank, that is a lovely portrait of a lovely person!

I don't remember seeing anybody posting a photo of the memorial place of William Wallace.
Taken from the Stirling Castle.

......
The first pic I want to post is a symbolic image from isle of May. As nature/bird photographer, I dreamed for long time to get puffins through my lens.

Got it ! :)

Df + legendary 300mm f/4.5 ED (non IF), freshly chipped by our Dr Lens an Bjørn...

I have to say that I have taken some risks to get it as I had to crawl on the very edge of a cliff with about 60 metres high. But rocks were very dry.

That's one really fine image Francis, but I'm glad I didn't followed you. ;D

Thank you, Chris !

I could actually approach them, take pics of them, and discretely leave the place without any disturbance : these birds were still standing on their rock when I left. ;)

Note that I haven't crop the picture or used any teleconverter.

Hi Aleksandra, welcome on this forum.
I especially like the Kelpie with the steam coming out of his/its nose. :)

Thank you Chris, I am happy to be here! As for the Kelpie...I guess the cloud was just in the right position. ;-)

Thank you, Aleksandra, for being so kind (and I'm sorry for mis-spelling your name earlier). I so much enjoyed meeting you and Jakov and all the other participants that there is no need for thanks; Mayumi and I enjoyed every moment. As you say, the group was made up of marvellous individuals - there was no rivalry, no jealousy, no bad temper, no rudeness, no selfishness (or, at least, none that I was aware of  ::) ) - it's a kind of miracle.

Dave, it is quite OK about the name! I love this Italian note to it. ;) You are quite right, it is a kind of miracle to meet so many amazing people gathered at one place. And this is something that stays with you forever. Amazing photos from everyone, I really enjoy seeing them! I am glad I can learn from all of you!

Hi Aleksandra. Good to have you on board. We can be quite rough at times, but generally friendship and forgiveness is the currency we pay in!

Frank, I am sure that I will enjoy sincerity and friendship and that I won't mind some occasional "roughness". ;-)

I don't want to wake up... :P

Dave, we can't thank you enough for all this work you made, resulting a such successful week !

And this is not just flattery, but a sincere statement.

This was my first trip to Scotland and I discovered a very beautiful country with interesting history and nice people. And there are so many more things to discover ...

Francis, great photo and I am glad you have recovered enough to be able to create it!

Dave took us to a lovely place on Friday morning. In the woods next to a lake but I am so bad with names and places that I have no idea where exactly, I apologise for that.
Martin and Aleksandra taking photos.

EDIT: The exact location is Glen Ogle Forest.
