I never thought I would ever care to take pictures of flowers . . . until this spring. Such a simple joy to really take time and appreciate all the subtleties. The textures of the flower, the sheen of the petals, the curves of the overall structure for the focal plane, etc. and etc. It's an emotional vacation, getting lost in a beautiful world that is utterly dwarfed by a human life. But so beautiful and full of life, none the less.
