Me neither.

I like how the blossom kind of mimics clouds in IR. The distortion is a bit on the heavy side though. But, that is nitpicking because this is the critique section

It is surreal Oliver. The size magnitudes and the arrangement of the different parts withing the frame and how much space you allow for each one makes for a very personal interpretation of the sourroundings.
  There are some blowout white but I couldn't care less about it. I think it gives a impressionist flare to the presentation.
   Having whites and deep blacks makes easier to find and enjoy all those magnificent grey scale details.
   The small man anchors the image and gives scale.
   The huge space invading whites makes the magic and the lonely dry smaller one makes the contrast at different levels -in plural-

   Every object subject adds to me. The "adding" effect  being closer to painting standards.

You are right Hans, the distortion bothers me as well but I don't know how to do better. It is mostly and effect of perspective. The angle of view is quite large and there has to be some kind of projection. I have used a spherical projection here. Any idea on how to improve?

Paco, thank you for the detailed review! Indeed, there are blown out whites and I could have done better. I was trying to push the contrast as much as I could and there are collateral damages...

Akira: yes, it is a combination of 7 shots (only!). It is amazing to see what decent stiching software can do with such messy images. there are so many branches and yet the final image looks OK to me with not much work done (by me).

Many great elements in this scene.  The building for scale, and again, the man in the center for another touch of scale.  There has always been something about black and white images that marks them as timeless for me.  No distractions that can detract from an otherwise great composition.  All good.

Hugh, I am going through my collection of (too many!) pictures taken in the vicinity of the castle and I try to come up with a very short list that I may print indeed. The three giants will make the list for sure.
