A big hello from Mozambique, where I've been a Nikon shooter since 2008. Before that it was Canon that had a nasty accident and precipitated a change to Nikon. I'm really agnostic about the whole issue as both have their relative strengths, but I really appreciated the D700 full frame camera and how it made me feel like playing with a film camera once again. Now I've upgraded to a D810 (via a D600...) and finally feel that digital has caught up with film.. 32asa lowest ISO, a burst rate that's longer than a 36 roll of film and image quality that is truly breathtaking. So yes.. life is good... It's taken 16 years to get here, since I ditched film for digital in 2000, but we finally have all the pieces of the puzzle in place. The price of top pro bodies have not gone down though.. with the problem being that they don't "last" as long once the new release is out.. But I'm not one to complain. My D700 lasted over 4 years and besides the relative downgrade to the D600, I'm feeling comfortable again shooting and expect the D810 to last many more... As for my shooting, I enjoy portraits and street shooting as well as wildlife, so have a long telezoom as well as a bevy of primes in MF and AF. 50mm seems to be my most used focal length, then 24mm, and then beyond 200mm for the long stuff.
