A few from a car show in June 2015 - Fuji X-E1 and 18-55mm. I stumbled into these while doing some backup.

First two - a Thunderbird with a sign saying 1964 - and its owner.
Third one - from sunshine state, Florida. Don't remember the car make and model.
Fourth - red beauties. The red Mercedes got a lot of attention from two boys.

I love the first three, Lars.

The third one is a late-sixties Cadillac. 1968, I believe.

This Fiat Punto, built in 1995, will be thirty next year and will therefore reach classic age. I inherited the car from my father, who demonstrated stylish taste with the choice of color...

Many thanks, Ian - I posted the last one mostly because of the boy staring at the Mercedes  ;D

Dodge Custom Royal (late 1950's?)

Excalibur SS III Phaeton (1976) (99% original, the note says)

Nice image of the Punto, Jürgen. I also inherited a Punto (.. part of it) from my father but I don't have a drivers license, so my sister got my part and was very happy with the car. I had some nice trips around the country with my sister for my part  :)

More vintage American iron. It must be Christmas!  :)

Chrysler Imperial (early 1960's?)

1962. It lost the tall fins of the 1961 model but retained the decorative piece around the tail lights that you see atop the rear wings. This was gone for 1963.

Dodge Custom Royal (late 1950's?)

1957. If you look closely at the headlights you will notice that they are not true duals but have the indicator next to each headlight to emulate the appearance. This changed to proper dual headlights in 1958, along with just about every other manufacturer. 1956 and earlier only had single headlights.

Many thanks, Ian - great and interesting info!

Yes, Merry Christmas! .. here is one more vintage American iron beauty. A Pontiac, but obviously no need for me to research year and model  ;D  (..also added a Buick Eight)

PS .. if you haven't seen it, you might be interested in "Maybelle" I posted some years ago - maybe you have some details to share about the car:

This is me and my classic, a 1969 Mustang Mach 1. It's all original, with a 351 Windsor and a 4 speed manual transmission.

A coworker unexpectedly left it to me when she passed away, leaving a note, stating "Tim, Mustang, have fun."

She had told me some years before that she purchased it new, two years after high school, and that it helped her "pick up sailors" back when she "still had a figure". A good person who gifted far more than a car.

The photo is courtesy of a friend's iPhone.

1960. The manufacturers had started to clean up the excesses of '58 and '59. The split grill that became Pontiac's motif in the sixties arrived in 1961. Alas, I have no idea about the model.

The Buick is from 1948. ('49 had a full-width grill. '50 made it look like a waterfall.) If that says "Dynaflow" on the front wing (fender, for North Americans) then the model is the most expensive Roadmaster. Dynaflow was Buick's new automatic transmission that used a rather complicated torque converter. The gearbox had two speeds but always stayed in the high gear unless the driver shifted down. The torque converter was left to do the work and provided a much smoother experience that the other automatics available in the day. However, it was not particularly efficient and soon earned the nickname "Dynaslush." It was only available on the Roadmaster in 1948.

Thank you, Lars. That is a custom job based on an early fifties Pontiac. (The wide chrome stripe down the centre of the car was gone for 1955.) Judging by the way the rear fenders are smoothed into the sides of the car along with the chrome spear, I'd say a 1954. The rear end has had some serious work done. I have no idea where they found the tail lights. The details on either side of the boot lid are custom too. At the front, the grill looks as though it was taken from a Buick. The protrusions were characteristic of Cadillac in the early fifties. They were nicknamed "Dagmars" after a, let us say, prominent actress of the time.
