PS: Does the following picture look like an "unnatural" flash use? Flash here is only for getting rid of the ugly downlight situation, so 80% ambient + 20% flash on a D70 with 1.8/50D IRRC .... 1250 ISO 1/125 s f=4 manual flash dose 1/32 or 1/64 of SB800
Oh yes, I agree a limited use of flash can be very effective. But it means time for setup. What I prefer, when possible, is directing the people to natural light-sources and get the shot I want.

that is a nice idea I sometimes employ too. In this case some Event of a financial company I felt it was not OK
to drag people away from their meeting point. It was a low ceiling darkish place with hard downlights.

A rainy- autumn-like day.

Time for some experiments with the Nikkor 80/2.8 combined with 4T

I am not sure if it is common practice everywhere but in the UK the FA cup pitches all clubs into the pot regarding who plays who on a knockout basis, the dream fixture for a small club is to be drawn to play one of the premier clubs, these events are attractive to the black economy entrepreneurs who are seen on the streets selling their officially authorised merchandise  !

Thanks John. Lots of rain here. I had to wipe out camera and lens after the shot.
