i need more time..... my first point of contention is moving the mode button which i use often to switch between A-priority and Manual when in Auto-ISO to the left side of the camera away from the shutter actuator and replacing it with the ISO selector which i use much less frequently..

shutter seems much quieter than the D4s... higher frame rate is nice but i didn't have a chance to exploit that yesterday.

i most shoot nine-point center which is now 21-point center which could be an improvement will have to wait to see for sure

i had some trouble with the exposure (had to keep increasing the compensation) when checking the histogram.

i tried the built in focus tuning which i couldn't find in the manual

which i found here.. and trying this out today proved a complete failure... actually tuned in the wrong direction!! so be careful. i am sure i am doing something wrong here

Select maximum aperture on your lens (e.g. Aperture priority, wide open).
Select Still Live View (press the button to activate, with icon on still camera).
Select Single Servo autofocus (AF S).
Set the Live View AF-Area mode to Normal-area (Normal).
Select the center focus point.
Focus the camera as you normally would in Live View on your target. Update: it appears that Nikon is finessing the 80-400mm issue I mentioned. Their response is to just focus manually in live view to get the right focus point, then continue with the following steps.
Press and hold (for two seconds) the AF Mode button (front of camera) and red Video record button simultaneously.
Follow the instructions that are displayed.

by the way.. auto focus tune - there may be a Nikon supplied target for tuning for it to work the right way... seems to be an undocumented feature..

Yes, the "give me four" shot is great indeed, but not only because of the technical aspects!

I suggest you program the red record button to do MODE in Photo, menu f1 will give you access to reprogramming buttons on the D5
