In keeping with your green color theme, the pines here have a large spring growth spurt:

Even though the last few days have been dominated by sleet, snow and rain, it seems like spring inevitably is transferred into summer. The leaves are unfolding, flowers pop up everywhere and most of the birds are starting to nest. This is going the way it is suppose to

In the garden the golden rain tree (Laburnum wateri 'Vossii' to be precise) starts to bloom together with the Common Lilac now

Very nice rendering of the golden rain. I have tried all angles and trick in the book on mine, but they never come out like yours. I guess the trick is to get in close. I will try when mine blossoms, which is after the 20. of june.

Very nice rendering of the golden rain. I have tried all angles and trick in the book on mine, but they never come out like yours. I guess the trick is to get in close. I will try when mine blossoms, which is after the 20. of june.

Thanks.  I tried a lot too.    It's a bit framed, the highlighted sky on the right side cut away.    A few tricks, I used 200mm (the first flowering parts are higher in the tree), no sun, just overcast to prevent over highlighted area's and used some leafs in the frame as a kind of green filter, also to temper the light as the shot was taken partly towards the sky.

One of the last things to decide it's spring, in fact so late we thought it was dead, was a hibiscus in the back yard (AKA Rosasharn for Steinbeck fans).  I guess it was just mostly dead.
