A small Japanese exhibition
« on: February 19, 2016, 22:31:36 »
Stirling University, which is my nearest uni, holds an annual "Japan Week". This year, for the first time, they have included a small photographic exhibition, and they invited me and a young Japanese freelance called Yu Sato to provide the photographs - mine, images of Japan; and his, images of Scotland. There were a few teething troubles because this was their first time, but we hung the show this afternoon and I think it looks ok.

I can't show Yu's work because I don't have his permission yet. This is my part of the exhibition - many of these have been posted in the past.

Beautiful set of the images, Dave!  Congrats!

Would be much nicer if there were a lot more spaces between the pictures, but the space might be limited.

Thanks, everyone, and it was lots of fun preparing and hanging this small show. Akira is right - a little more space would have been good, and I did consider dropping one of the images but the organiser insisted on all 9 being shown. I never argue with the ladies - except my wife, naturally.   ;)

Thomas, I was just referring to the installation in this case, not necessarily to the Japanese sensitivity.  :)

With more spaces between the pictures, the viewer should be able to concentrate on appreciating each one.
