Recently got back from tour of Alaskan Inner Passage where monochrome rules, especially in the morning.  These shots are all in standard color, taken with D3200 and 28/3.5H lens, in early morning.

Landscape rarely gets more monochrome than winter. Ottawa's west end and former high-tech powerhouse. Newbridge Networks is down there. It really did look like this. I converted the NEF to JPG and left it at that.

This thread is to post full RGB shots in which the scene is monochrome, not the processing or from the rare monochrome cameras.

This opens the opportunity to create monochrome scenes like a full set of stuffed animals, clothes and toys from a girls room all in pink or purple, desert scenes all in brown and yellow tones or night scenes in which "all cats are grey"...

This is a very interesting thread. I'll have to look through my recent shots, but I don't think I have any monochromatic ones. However, I do have at least one monochromatic image from years ago.

Kodachrome 64, Canon A-1, Sigma 600mm f/8 mirror:


Here's another that's almost monochromatic. Also a Kodachrome 64 slide but a crop of a small portion of it. The Camera was a Canon AE-1 with a 50mm f/1.8 lens.


By the way, I duped the slides using a NEX 7 and a rig I cobbled together, which includes a Nikon 55mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor at its core.

I'll look to see if I have more.

Okay, I guess this is sort of a no-brainer. A shot of the (almost) full moon. I took this a few nights ago. It's a full RGB image. You can see a slight green fringing on the edge of the disk.

That is a superb city scape in my book. Taken from a plane or from a drone???
