I do remember it was very cold and rather low light levels for the D2X, which wasn't too fond of high ISO settings. I kept ISO at 400 and was helped by a very fast lens and the stability of my Sachtler tripod.

Birna: This is stunningly beautiful...the image looks compressed and, since you mention a Sachtler tripod, I anticipate that the lens was a fairly long Nikkor, right?

Thanks, Robert

200/2 AFS. Thus not that longish focal, however light levels were low plus I needed to stop down to get adequate sharpness across the frame.

Another scene captured by my trusty AFS 200/2. Torrential rain as passengers embarked their airflight.

Mind you, it's not as if there's no color to be seen.
