How to get non-AI Nikkors converted?

I've converted several lenses, but the 105/2.5, at least mine, the late pre-ai "gauss" version, was complicated by a little spring attached to the mount.  Richard Haw has an article on rebuilding this one, and if you're planning to convert that, it's well worth looking at.  When I did mine I was not expecting that spring, and it was pretty difficult to re-attach.
