"Dappled light" on third of January.
Like on Øyvind Tøiens photo yesterday, the sun is quite low where I live as well. Underwater this give very little light due to the total reflection. But close to the surface one can get a nice effect that is called "dappled light" in a book I have about underwater photography, written by Martin Edge.

Family day indoors due to constant rain in our part of the UK, iphone image of my son's new TV going through the setting up process, I learned that  I do not know very much about the various technologies  in modern TV's but I was of some use to him holding, lifting, steadying as a multitude of cables were attached :-)

Lars: Wonderful Light

Ole: Really impressed by the underwater sight. I would not like to submerge to take one myself, but I love to see underwater shots!

Bruno: You have a very special take on the topic of impresionistic lenses. Refreshing!

Fons: My son loved your landscape shot.

John: These shoppers do not look too happy, don't they?

Thank you all.

John: It is easy in Germany where shops are closed on Sundays (except for special events that can only lead to max. 4 openings per year)

Nice UW capture Ole!

Star trails in the night on Jan 3. Not perfect as some light clouds drifted in and I am far from mastering Deep Sky Stacker yet; 30sec exposures at f/4.5 and ISO 640, every 33 sec. for ca. 45 minutes. BTW, both with my D5100 and D7100 a 30 sec. exposure setting keeps the shutter actually open for 32 sec, thus the interval must be set slightly longer than expected.
