Hello everybody!
I am a long time Dpreview member and occasional forum participant under the same nickname as here - grevture. But I do spend (or waste as some would argue) most of my online time and effort at Fotosidan, a Swedish general purpose photo community - same nickname there.
I am a part time freelance photographer (sports, corporate events, general PJ stuff), part time freelance technical translator and - please don't judge me to harshly over this - a part freelance time technical journalist writing reviews and other assorted articles of everything from home routers to camera gear. As the typical tech journalist the scope of my knowledge tend to be more of "a little of everything" rather then "all about something".
Where I feel most at home in photography is trying to document something or someone in really crappy light and under preassure to deliver images fast. I am not well known for producing well thought out, beatifully concieved, captured and postprocessed artistic images. Rather ... Well, the opposite.
My personal gear are a couple of beat up D3 cameras, a slightly less worn D3s and my lenses are the the usual suspects for a PJ style shooter. And through work a s tech journalist I get to shoot with a bewildering assortment of cameras and lenses of all brands and types.
Anyhow, I hope I can make contributions to discussions.
Cheers,
Martin
