Image upload from smartphone
« on: November 22, 2015, 19:23:08 »
All: is there a trick to upload images from an IPhone, where the image file extension is .jpeg?
The forum software denies it by this simple reason.

Any assistance appreciated :)

Regards,
Thomas

Thank you, upload is accepted now. I'm not sure if the picture shows up though.
Unsure 'cause I'm traveling on very limited bandwidth.l and it does not show for me yet.
The mobile phone picture thread, #28.
Will recheck later.

Your image shows, but should be rotated 90 deg CCW ?

Showing OK on the IPhone.
Shot in portrait mode, text human readable.
Orientation may depend on the browser used?

showing the image rotated 90° CCW:
Firefox
Chrome (64)
IE 11

showing the image as shot:
Safari (Iphone)

IrfanView (64)
Windows Photo Viewer

There is something (wrong) with the exif information. The attached image has been modified with the 'jpg lossless rotation' IrfanView plug in.
CW 90° rotation -- the image does not rotate in IrfanView, but the altered file is showing well here.
