Thanks Jakov.
I used a Panasonic LX-3 with an aquapac waterproof case. I spend a lot of time in the ocean with the camera (particularly at the end of the day) exploring the different perspectives enabled by the waterproof case.
I really like this image, my only regret is that i wasn't shooting raw so I only have a jpeg... You live and learn!!

Thanks, Mike, the ship is indeed Russian.

The location is the Grand Harbour of Valletta, which you presumably visited in your naval career.
