More arrivals ... Thermography of arriving passengers at Tambo International Airport, Johannnesburg. Claimed to help find passengers having a deadly disease. Or so I was told, but perhaps the tale was pretty tall.

By the way, be very careful if you try shooting such scenes - the security guards will fall over you like a ton of bricks if you are spotted. A situation for which small unobtrusive (and automatic functioning) cameras are advantageous. I took my chance with my Nikon D3 and the 35/1.4 AIS and got away with it.

Well, found another one in my archives. Shot on film, probably velvia with a fm3a and the 24ais i still have. KL airport Malaysia.

The "tiled" surface was the disembarking spot.

I love airport shots. It captures a moment when people can be very vulnerable - leaving - arriving - each contributing different sets of emotions - on display to the rest of the world. You cant escape it.

Interesting to notice the different angles of view of left passengers, between your picture and thermograph screen.

BTW, you are right, taking such picture can leading to a security office hence a big waste of time !  ???  :D
