Toward the moon.
A very humorous image - who needs Mr Branson, Bezos or Musk to get to the moon? :)
have you tried editing it to increase the contrast so the clouds are more distinct?

LOL!  Glad you enjoyed the image.

I increased the contrast, clarity and a bit of dehaze, but that was mostly to make the texture of the surface of the moon.  Otherwise, I was trying to make it as natural as possible to retain the atmosphere of the sunset.

Thank you Jakov ! As I told, still a lot to learn. At least, I have now a decent tripod and ballhead (RRS). And a 2000m high mountain at 2km of my doorstep.  :)

Apollo 11 Landing Site

A couple days ago the Moon was at a perfect angle to have the outline of the craters surrounding the Mare Tranquillitatis, where the first Lunar Explorer Module landed.

Weather was fine, and the atmosphere was crystal clear, so I took a few shots, and then tried to identify the landing site according to what is available on the Net.

It was easy to spot two adjacent craters (Ritter and Sabine), near the center of the image.
Drawing a horizontal line from Sabine across the Sea of Tranquillity leads to a small crater (Maskelyne).
Along this line are the three craters Aldrin, Collins, and Armstrong (not shown in detail picture, the Aldrin crater is overlaid by the "b" in Sabine)
A little below the line and to the left of center is the Apollo 11 landing site.

In the detail photo (converted to Black & White) I have added the names of relevant craters.

After this little workout, I can spot the landing site almost immediately, I look for a whitish area at the base of the Sea of Tranquillity, which has a resemblance to the outline of the Bulgarian-Turkish-Greek coastline, find the twin craters above it, find (to the R) the small Maskelyne crater, look halfway and that's it!

Impressively detailed image, Massimo!  Thank you for the additional explanation.

Moon and Jupiter.

The second image is 100% crop of the Jupiter.  Three satellites are captured as well (one on the far left is only barely visible).
