Thank you Akira, I remember my first try some decades ago with film, it was very painful to get a good image!

+1, well done Nasos getting both the stripes on Jupiter and two of the moons; it can be pretty challenging with the differences in intensity.

May be Mars is another idea to try now, it is getting quite a bit closer and very bright. Closest approach on October 6.

Thank Oivid and Jakov!
It’s not difficult to capture Jupiter it’s a very bright star
Z50’s electronic shutter and 3sec capturing delay worked fine
The full satellite shot is with AF-S 300/4  f4 1/160sec ISO 2000
Jupiter with stripes is Tamron 150-600 at 600mm f8 1/320 ISO 2000
Oivid also thank you for the link, Mars could be challenging to capture I will make a try
Thank you!

New try with Nikon 200-500 5.6E which gives better results than the previous Tamron
One try with 1.4x tele  the other not
I can’t see the difference unless see exif data :)
Thank you

It's a privilege to be able to see Saturn, using what isn't really a monster lens.

+1; I am impressed that you got that much out of it, Nasos.  I will be looking forward to see the stacking results.
It looks like we will have to wait until far out in next year here in the north before Saturn and Jupiter will be high enough in the sky for any captures - currently it is barely touching the horizon according to Stellarium. And in the spring it will follow the sun. Recently someone posted a daytime IR image of Jupiter on Cloudy nights ( https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/732452-out-doing-daytime-infrared-of-jupiter/ ), so perhaps that is something to try.

Thank you all, it’s not so difficult to spot and give a try to these stars I thing many of us has tele lenses more than 300mm to try ;)
These days in Athens Jupiter and Saturn are about 30-40 degrees above horizon and easy to spot even in the town with the light pollution
Oivid I have to improve my stacking technique  first!

Yes, I am working on the stacking part myself, Nasos. My moon attempts so far has resulted in a lot of stacking artifacts generated by Autostakkert, perhaps image quality has not been good enough.

Far into last night/this morning we had fairly good seeing here although transparency was below average (by some reason those two things seem to be opposite of each other), and as it is today, October 6 that Mars is closest to Earth since a very long time, I went crazy and captured closer to 12500 frames of Mars and our moon with different magnification combinations on my AW1 (15 fps) over a few hours. (Image buffer is only 28 images max, and it takes about 10s to clear buffer between each burst.) So I should have something to work on now.  ;D  I have a TC-20E III on its way from KEH so that I can also use my 300PF for the higher magnifications. Currently TC-301 etc. on my AF300mm f/4 had to do - it is going to take a while to get it all processed though.

In the mean time here is a direct edit of a single moon frame in CNX2, captured with the 300PF + TC-14E on AW1.

Oivid, 12500 frames this is crazy LOL!
You may need months for stacking
I thing you need good capture from the start so  even 300mm+2x TC is not the best idea, sooner or later it needs a telescope 8)
Waiting for your stacked shots!
