# of images in stack, aperture setting, shutter speed, flash??.. etc.. setup?.. post processing technique???

of course you could consider this much transparency somehow proprietary information which is fine... but it is what i meant by "details"

No secrets. 57 layers, natural light, wide open (f/5.6), ISO 64, 1/2 second. The El Nikkor 105mm APO requires a bellows, so I am using the Nikon PB-4, sitting on a geared head (Cube1) on a RSS tripod, series 3.  Then Zerene Stacker.

thank you... permits me a better understanding of your technique.. why was 57 layers chosen?.. .presumably you divided the object extent by the DoF for the lens to arrive at that value?

Nope. Not so scientific. I started at the front and went as far as I wanted to go.
