Certainly a different view of "Summer"?
i just wonder if a little more brightness and contrast (black blacks and whiter whites) would lift the mid-tones make an even more powerful result?

Yes Ann, that's a great suggestion! Its a little bland. Here's the second try with more contrast and range from dark blacks to whites, at least on this laptop:

Mackinac Island restaurant table view - too chilly and windy for an outdoor lunch.  Northern Michigan, USA. Nikon Zf, 24-70 f2.8 @ 24mm, f11, 1/200, ISO 100.
Good photo, I like the first one more than the second, the gray tone seems to fit the scene.

heads off
Interesting ghostly moment, that person has a problem now, without a head he is unable to discern, he walks blindly between contemporary art and the future.

Bruno, your B&W rendition well underpins the sombre nature of the boat's mission.

Thanks Hugh. The number of lives they save is impressive - several hundred every month.
