John, that is excellent.

To be honest, there is of course no "official" definition. So, whether your previous one qualifies or not is up to the viewer. Regardless, i like it.

Thanks for the explanation, Hans. My previous contribution didn't qualify, I guess.

I feel the wonderful dream leafs qualify as close up, but: How to define the settung as "urban"? Food for thought ... maybe with a Zeiss Otus 24mm? HAHA

Great one, Frank. Somehow, i missed that you added another one to the thread. I must have some dead flies around somewhere, i'll try to find the pictures.

First, another spidy in the garden. Not as close up as the topic starter, but with a WA this time (nikon 24 2.8 ais).

Thanks Airy, would you happen to have some pics of nature close-ups in an urban setting that you could share. It'd be nice to see those.

Spiders & al. ? hardly. Nothing recent. And attempted rabbit shots defeat any AF system.

No worries, doesn't have to be spiders. Any kind of nature in an urban setting would do. But, if you have nothing, also OK of course.

Thanks for commenting.

Urban caterpillars. They stood in the way on a sidewalk. Fortunately I noticed them. Grabbed with Df + Zeiss 135/2 at f/5.6, closest range probably

I think Bob Friedman will be very grateful if you can post this lot to him. I suggested today he starts breeding his own subjects
