Such fascinating fotos in this thread. I like this leaf foto, Chip.

Agree that urban nature needs to show the urban part. I have some soemwhere that I should dig out. I used to know where to find all my fotos right away, but now I have too many!!

A number of Oenothera's (Evening Primrose) are growing in a field just around the corner in the middle of the city. Early 2015 more than 200 houses were teared down. The ground and area is left untouched since then and surrounded by a high gate. A bit of trespassing was necessary to make this 'close - up'.

+1 on that!

Great shots all, but especially Øivind and John are hitting the urban part very well. That's what i had in mind. Now i'm curious for even more.

From earlier this year, taken in Ghent.

EDIT: Ooops, sorry - I was thinking "urban" and "nature" and forgot about the "close up"-part.

Something just down the street.  Some kind of grass, with recent reproductive structures. An articulating finder or rear LCD (preferably of the 'visible in sunlight' type) would have been helpful.

Exactly what i mean, Keith!

Good close-up of nature persevering where man tries to put it down with its structures. Great shot!
