Zf Firmware Bug?
« on: August 29, 2025, 17:52:36 »
Hey you experts!
I tried to download 4000+ pictures from the Zf to the Computer with a 15c battery in the camera. Obviously it could not decide whether it wanted to datra transfer or to load the battery so it switched from one to the other until the battery was drained completely.
Result was that the process was interrrupted and then the battery was dead. Why can the thing not load and data transfer at the same time?
Am I the problem or the firmware or the hardware or the settings?
THX

Yes, it is possible to charge a battery and transfer data simultaneously over a USB-C port, a feature enabled by the USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) standard, which allows for bidirectional data and power flow. However, both the device being charged and the power source (such as a PC or dock) must support USB-PD for this to work. Without it, charging and data transfer may not be possible at the same time, or power delivery might be limited.

Frank, are you using a Windows11 PC?

There have been a big issue with the latest security patch KB5063878 causing the SSD unreadable, especially when transferring big data (>50G).

Your problem ocurrs when you transfer data from the card via USB-C, so it may not the case, and I could be totally wrong.  But the amount of data you are transferring got me thinking...

Use a card reader. And a charger for the camera.
