we had some medieval players there because 1000 years ago our church is documented to have already been active

Here I like to have your opinion especially. First or Second version?
Edit: or third?
Edit or v4 or v4f?

Special liking for "preparing the text" because of the backlight, and of the concentrated as well as natural attitude.

Concerning the "old attendee", the difference seems to be the angle, and somehow I am not able to make up my mind. Well, not the second. I'd say the first, the tilt makes the shot look more "human", less architectural, so the pillars seem to play a less prominent role.

Airy: The decision #1 was spontaneous at the moment I took the picture. He is a wonderful model.

Thank you Elsa.

Today was confusing. Some pictures are constructed and work as pre visualized, some are completely different from what I expected.

Then in the evening I took a daring series, shut off rationalism let let myself flow into the pictorial qualities of the world.

Have to download these from the Smart-phone.

Interesting to see some mediaeval mode of life.  Thanks for sharing!

As for the three variations of the portrait, I would prefer #1 for its more natural atmosphere.  Compared to #1, the other two looks a bit flat.

Akira. Thank you. Yes, I felt somehow, that the original choise was best, but I cannot really put my finger into it, there is still something left to wish for. Otherwise I would not have stated the PP effort. Any ideas?

Frank, you could crop away the upper part with the lighting, unless you consider it the "crown" of the subject. For me it works. 3:2 ratio vertical is not what I prefer, especially on non-tilting monitors. N.B. I often try 5:4 or 4:3, to discover that I did not actually lose anything significant.

Agree with Airy. If you focus on the left bottom, that's where the heart of the image is, to my feeling.
