The story gained world-wide attention and lots of TV crews flocked to the site. Now the whip has been dragged off the shore and only the news images remain. When we visited the site yesterday, only the ongoing erosion damage of the now exposed shoreline was evident. The farmstead is abandoned because there are continued incidents of clay and earth slides happening, and sooner or later the power of the waves will prevail.
