The Stanley Cup is the trophy awarded annually to the winner of the National Hockey League play-offs. "National" covers both the U.S. and Canada. "Hockey" means ice hockey here.

The Toronto Maple Leafs last won the Cup in 1967 and have shown no sign of repeating the feat during my twenty-five years in Canada. Nevertheless, loyal fans keep telling themselves, "Next year...."

The T-shirt on the left is misusing their logo to poke fun. The juxtaposition with the T-shirt on the right is icing on the cake.

Old lenses can still be useful (?)  Like an old house, given the right setting.

A very "classical" photo in a monochrome/duplex style. But without your info I could not recognize the name or age or focal length or brand of the lens.

True, which is one one the important points to be drawn from the example.

For users of the Heligon/Rayxar lenses, here is something to lust for: a bespoke adapter for these massive "X-ray" type lenses to the Nikon Z series (except Z50, Z fc, Zf due to the finder overhang of these models). I convinced RAFCamera to build a prototype after my own measurements and received it today.

Z6/7/8/9 cameras will focus to infinity with most "X-ray" optics, if the rear part isn't conflicting with the film gate. Thus most Rayxars will not go to infinity on the Z30, whilst the Rodenstock TV-Heligon does it with ease.

The adapter is very affordably price (approx. USD 44,-) and nicely machined and finished. I'll try the adapters for a while to learn whether improvements are required. See https://rafcamera.com/adapter-m80x1f-to-nikon-z

For users of the Heligon/Rayxar lenses,

Do want to get pictoresque and poetic pictures with these lenses?

Most lenses can help in achieving that. It's the photographer who is the important factor in this "equation".

When one finds an interesting book, why wait to start reading?

Well seen!

Obviously this is the only sensible thing to do because his mother is apparently going to be in this book store for ages?

Thank you, Ann.

That is my son at the local library. We were waiting for my wife but it is not as if there were no chairs nearby  :)
