the karts are road legal?

There is some criticism, but apparently they are legally allowed under a certain condition: whenever I see them, they are following a legitimate motorcycle as leader.

Some are  big, most are small, and many just microscopic in size, of the latter some thrive inside the root galls produced by the elusive representatives of the fungal phylum Entorrhizomycota.
...
This specimen was very very small, about 150 micrometre in length.

Do they crawl from gall to gall in the soil? It must be quite a journey when you're that tiny ...

Likely they spend their entire (and short) life cycle inside the root galls. They may be hatched from eggs suspended in the soil pore water.

Nematodes are just plentiful everywhere. I always find some when I make a microscope slide from roots.

Thank you Daniel.Yes the Voigtländer 65mm f/2 is a very fine lens, a bit on the heavy side, so its more of a close-up lens, of course can be used as a 'normal' lens.

Exactly the kind of garden that I love: chock-full of floriferous plants with no space for unwanted weeds to flourish.
