Many thanks Fonas and Hugh,

Yes hedgehogs do carry diseases and also ticks.

I still like the looks of them - Daniel

Testing an ancient Vivitar 28mm wide open....looking for "effects" that it might display.

Noisy miner on my Grevillea tree. It didn't seem to mind me standing very close.

Portrait of a goat -- I can almost hear the soft bleating. And imagine the smell :)

Your bird must be very tolerant to humans. Perfect demonstration of the qualities of this underrated oldtimer Nikkor!

Birna, the goats are very friendly and curious animals; they came up to see the camera. I photographed them yesterday afternoon with a Nikon D200 and a modified Russian HELIOS-92 f2 lens.

The Norwegian goats roaming the mountain roads in summer are very fond of nibbling rubber decor and side mirrors on cars :(

'Reverse ekphrasis' based on Nick Cave's Cinnamon Horses whose lyrics have puzzled me for at while.
