looks like a forging family, I like the mood

Thanks, Thomas. He confessed to being the least skilled and so that is why he got to do the talking.

Palm House, Botcanical Gardens, first shot with the D3 in a while.

A D4 is on the way home from MPB - a Christmas present for myself :)

Funny enough., I also got a "..mas" present for myself today, viz. the Nikkor 70-180mm f/2.8 Z. Probably a rebadged Tamron, but who cares as long as the price is (nearly) OK and the lens handles well on my Zf. It even accepts my iShoot tripod bracket (for the 105/2.8 MC Z) and functions nicely even with the TC1.4Z. Perhaps not so 100% perfect as I had hoped for in IR shooting, but will do adequately for apertures in a sensible range down to f/8-f/11.

If you love somebody set them free

Photo taken with an old Russian-made camera called Zorki 3-C. Despite its age, the machine works well and makes an attractive sound when shooting. I took the photo a few days ago on a street in Murcia.

Going somewhere? Do I see the (Tamron) Z 70-180/2.8?

It's the Nikon model, but I guess these are quite similar?

No travel planned just now, but there will be a meet-up in Spain February/March 2025

By coincidence, the 70-180 accepts the same iShoot tripod bracket I got (and modified) for the 105MC Nikkor. That's great because the lens has no VR functionality on its own.
