interesting pattern

Indeed.  I rushed into my place to grab the camera when I saw the cloud, as the shape might go soon.

  :) Well seen :)

Thank you, Bruno!

A golden time in the beech forest. By the way, the more subtle manifestations of your technique seen recently appeal more to me - I guess one refines the methods over time?

Lying in bed (Pacific time zone )(8 hours different from GMT), looking at a tablet, I came to the realization why I enjoy just flipping through the monthly blog.
Nikongear has been, as far back as I remember, the stopping place for photographers who are mature and respectful of the art of photography.
There are rarely newbies to photography who haven't yet accumulated enough skills to actually make a fair to good image and who mistake their lack of knowledge and experience for breaking new ground.

So, I can see well done photos that display different areas of interest and style without being distracted by just bad technique.

What a real treat.

As for me, This is one of the styles of street photography I like a lot.  All that is connoted by the phrase aides memoire.

I'm not interested in exploring new ways of 'saying' things; I want only to remember specific moments in all their texture.

Realistic setting, clean, nice colors, sufficient surroundings to convey the sense of place, people in the process of being, definite composition that guides the viewer.

3 dimensional, layered look

Enough elements to guide story-making yet usually no attempt to drive to a specific story.

Currently temperaturs rarely climb above thr freezing point and we are "blessed" with dense, cold, and wet fog all thoughout the day. Today the fog reminded more of "London smog" and at times visibility was just a few metres. The camera lies and makes the sight a tad better than what meets the naked eye, though,
