Thank you, Lars!  Actually, the gecko is called "ya-mori" in Japan, and that means "the guardian of the house", because they eat bugs.

That makes perfect sense, Akira! I actually do have a gecko in the house but it's a kind of scarecrow for bugs - doesn't have much effect, though..   ;D

I envy you having such a beautiful "House mountain".
I have only a House Hill but it is quite pretty in its own way

Funny picture. At first sight, I keep seeing it inverted, i.e. I see a carved wood panel, with something greenish in the background. That may be due to the gecko being less textured than the wood...

The usual bird killer façade. While the dispute on the toll taken by windmills is going on (as it should), I recently read that the death toll on birds of such buildings and their big reflective glass panes lies in the billions per year.

Frankly I wonder why I bother posting ANYTHING - I foolishly thought this was a site for discussing photographic images.... :(

I too loved Daniel's wonderful House Mountain vista
I'd even settle for the first snow falling in September (well one year anyway!)

I think the trick is make use of a (holiday) house mountain whenever we can Ann :)

Nicely seen Ian
When i worked in London, i remember ones like the one in the reflection.
Can you remind us where you found this?
