Unlike the Nikon Df, the Zf does not make images on its own. So despite its increased smoothness, it requires more work from the photographer's side.

is it difficult to focus in IR? The AF will be useful for visible only, right?

AF usually works also for IR; however focusing speed can get slower. Full focusing accuracy can never be guaranteed unless the combination of  camera + lens + filter [+ light situation] has been tested a priori.
