Unlike some other parts of Europe, we currently have little snow for the season. However, that deficit is "compensated" by intense cold weather, this morning -16C which I personally find quite unpleasant. However the air is crystal clear unless thermoclines interfere and this makes for nice IR shooting. Foliage and structures all are festooned in hoar frost.

Taken this morning with a modified Nikon Z5 and the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8Z. IR 850 filter. The moon was hardly visible to the naked eye yet stood out clear and bright in IR.

What a beautiful woodpecker Armando.
Better tell him though: aluminium isn't good for the health ;)

Still deep-freezer temperatures outside, still asthma-induced issues for me. Oh well. I can spend time in Ruth's indoors jungle.

Nikon Z5 (modified), Laowa 11mm f/4.5, IR 720 filter.

Maybe really cold but beautiful scenery. That Z5 works better for full spectrum than the Z6, doesn't it?

Z5 is somewhat better, yes. Neither of them can be said to be really good. though. Acceptable for IR if you find a good lens and go easy on the deep IR.
