Roaring cataracts after torrential rains

This is usually a small babbling brook and the canal (built at a higher elevation) does not normally overflow into the brook.

Just testing the restored Galleries (for which, many thanks!)

The brute force of the water is very well juxtaposed against the peaceful tranquility of the autumn colours  :D

Here is another shot which I took a few miles further away on the same morning:



These waterfalls are usually reduced to the merest trickle but the heavy rainstorm provided a different display.
