I have not done much photography recently and decided that something a little different was in order. So I dug out my 105mm f/4 Micro-Nikkor and my tripod. A stump in the back yard provided a suitable subject. 11 frames and some work in Photoshop yielded this result. It is immediately obvious that I should have extended focus all the way to the bottom of the frame. However, fun was had learning this lesson.

Oxalis violacea (Violet wood sorrel). Found in a shady spot in a wooded area. Probably the last of these for the year unless we have an early, long and cool autumn when these may bloom again. D850  & CV 125.

Processed in ACR with the Vibrance and the Saturation sliders at full, and then the temperature was adjusted to my liking.   :)
