An old friend of mine has been diagnosed with Parkinson's and other degenerative diseases, but refuses to give up.

All credit to your friend.
I'm sure Parkinsons brings plenty of challenges, but hopefully doing a little of what he loves brings at least some relief.

Was this an IR image Birna?

Yes, indeed. Well spotted. Taken with the old 20mm f/3.5 Nikkor-UD, which despite its 50+ years age runs rings around most modern lenses for IR hooting.

Probably the only “old lens” I’m still using on a regular basis. Purchased new, still there.

An old friend of mine has been diagnosed with Parkinson's and other degenerative diseases, but refuses to give up. His electric wheel chair complete with tripod mount, gimbal, and an impressively looking Olympus outfit allows shooting small birds and butterflies in his garden. Kudos :)
That's the spirit. Thanks for sharing
