Do report if you get a notification before your current subscription ends, please. (I sincerely hope my meddling with the DB settings activated the correct trigger :)
I will, and I hope so too :-)

I renewed my subscription, just now. My subscription ended April 10. I did not get any email, but checked within my profile. Maybe the reminder email is just triggered for future subscriptions ending?
"Make this a recurring payment" was default checked, next year this should be effective.

The reminder e-mail option wasn't activate until a few days ago. The option is set by default now, but it remains to be seen whether elapsing existing subscriptions will trigger this behaviour.

You can just make sure of the color of your name appearing on the upper left corner of each of your own posts.

If you are a subscriber, your name will turn from orange to brown when your subscription expires.

Today I received the notification about the soon expiring subscription. So actually your meddling was not futile but successful :-)

Hooray!
Nice work Birna.

Its possible a one-off run of the routine against the database might be needed for that.
Even if only to produce a "report" of people still posting, whose subs have expired

But that's maybe getting even further into complex territory

That is due to subscriptions just elapsed and not being renewed :( I do check every day, to keep our status as up to date as possible.

NG supporters have joined at various times throughout the year. Thus the fluctuation in actual paying supporters is to be expected. What is worrisome is the longer-term trend, which signals fewer subscribers as time goes.
